Ice-cream production machines have been our goal since the first vertical batch freezer realised in 1927.
Since then our main target has been to couple our tradition of maintaining artisanal ice cream features with
the necessity of increasing the production range.
The unique characteristic of all our freezers is the double flow ice cream production cycle.
Inside our beaters the mix comes from the front, it is scraped around the freezing cylinder and comes back
from the centre where it is beated by additional whips. This process will enhance the ice cream structure and
at the same time will favour the incorporation of the air inside the structure.
Among the various models available we can identify 5 distinctive ranges:
FREEZMAT K-CPS
continuous producers of
industrial ice cream with built-
in refrigeration unit (R404A)
and piston pump, suitable for
transferring solid parts (fruit
seeds) into the freezing
cylinders. They are available
with one or two cylinders – 1
CPS or 2 CPS version. Each
cylinder of 2 CPS version is
capable of working
independently being both
refrigeration units and controls
completely separated. Cps
freezers can be equipped also
with compressed air injection,
in order to keep the overrun
controlled and stable.
FREEZMAT “K-SR” are
continuous producers of industrial ice cream with built-in refrigeration unit (R404A) and 2 patented lobe
pumps: the first one for transferring the mix (even containing solid parts like fruit seeds) and the sterile air
into the freezing cylinder, the second one for the transfer of the ice cream without spoiling its texture. Al
pumps are self-cleaning (CIP).
FREEZMAT “K-SN”, represent our range of ammonia freezers, suitable for industries where a centralised
ammonia plant is available. Similar in features to “K-SR” models, they have all necessary ammonia controls,
in order to vary evaporating temperature, and are able to work both on low or high pressure systems.
“PLC” models differ from the semi-automatic “K-SR” models being equipped with a PLC system and control
board fit for the automatic set-up of at least 99 recipes with their production parameters, overrun and
viscosity. All models are equipped with an advanced electronic system controlling the supply of sterile air
and assuring a constant overrun of the ice cream.
The new generation of computerized FREEZERS COGIL-CATTA 27 “K PLC” assures the utmost
performances to the ice-cream manufacturers. The “COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM” assures the control of the
production by acting on the following parameters: -mix / ice-cream lobe pumps speed; - ice-cream viscosity;
- overrun. Electronic control system such as: - mix flowmeter; - air flowmeter; - mix / ice cream pressure; -
mix / ice-cream pump speed by inverter. Built-in PC control including recipes storage. Reliable components
assure perfect production balance by means of: - mix and ice cream lobe pumps equipped with C.I.P. device
locally or centrally controlled; they assure high performance by maintaining the ice-cream features;
“VARIO” models are the latest development of our freezers range, in which variable speed of beater is
combined with our double path barrel and lobe pump system in order to process dairy and non dairy creams,
suitable to the growing business of cream and desserts production.
