Class 100 Vertical Laminar Air Flow Hoods

COGIL’s vertical laminar air flow hoods effectively protect the work areas by generating a controlled flow of sterile air and achieving better than class 100 air quality.
This method facilitates any processes that require total protection against bacteria, moulds and other contaminants that are normally found in the atmosphere.
Because of their features, these hoods can be used successfully in numberless applications, especially in the food and pharmaceutical industries, where protecting products from contamination is a vital point.

Each hood has the following characteristics:
100% stainless steel AISI 304 construction with satin finish.
Each hood comes complete with a built-in suction compartment above the absolute filters. Here is where the fan and the air pre-filters will be installed.
The hood is built in such a way as to allow the installation of the absolute filters to be carried out from the side panels side.
The electric panel in each hood is placed in the suction compartment.
Air velocity
Air velocity is 0.45 m/s and the flow is uniform over the entire work area. Air velocity can be regulated to within ± 10% of the standard value by means of an electronic controller that will change the revs of the electric fans. Filtration
The air that is made to circulate by means of the electric fans will flow through Viledon pre-filters, with efficiency 80% D.O.P., and then through the absolute filters with efficiency equal to 99.999 D.O.P. – 0.3 micron test.

Tests before delivery

The following tests are carried out on each hood before delivery:
1.Visual inspection of components.
2.Run test.
3.Alarm and electric protection test.
4.European safety regulations and EC certification requirements compliance test
5.Perimetral filter leak check with particle counter.
6.Air purity check according to
Federal Standard 209E.
7.Air velocity uniformity check.
8.Sound level check.
Documentation supplied with each hood
1.Installation, operating and maintenance manual.
2.Wiring diagrams.
3.Machine drawings with dimensions and heights.
4.Spare parts list.
5.Test and inspection reports.
6. Copies of absolute filter efficiency certificates.
7.Copies of testing instruments calibration certificates.
8.CE declaration of conformity
(in accordance with point A, Annexe II of Directive 89/392/EEC).
